Chalkboard City Blocks & Table D.I.Y.

Oops! We got a little carried away painting wooden blocks with chalkboard paint this morning...

A little spill on the table. We kept on painting...

Blocks drying on our upcycled table.

I am seriously considering spilling paint on the kitchen table next! If and when we do though we will use frog tape to keep the edges neat and use a "Spray On" chalkboard paint for a smoother surface. This city road is a little bumpy.

All ages enjoying the fun.

Feel free to share your project's, photo's and stories on our Facebook Page.  We would love to see them!

Odd Sock Kids Craft

by Claire

Our stuffed animals got some back to school clothes today!  We made them adorable no sew outfits out of our odd socks.

We got the idea from Dogs We Luv and followed the directions above.

We finished off with a fashion show and snapped lots of photo's!

Please feel free to share with us what you do with your mismatching socks  Also, if you have photo's of your projects we would love to see them on our Facebook Page.

Duct Tape Sparkler Pencil BTS Craft

by Emily

While shopping for back to school supplies my mom picked up some super cheap 25 cent packages of pencils. My sister, Claire and I jazzed them up by recycling gift bags and a bit of duct tape.

Supplies: Duct tape, ruler, gift bags or scrap paper and pencils.

Cut pieces of gift bag or paper into 1 cm strips.

Lie the strips flat on the duct tape sticky side and fringe the top edge like in the next photo.

Roll the duct tape around your pencil.  My sister glued googly eyes and buttons on hers.

We originally found this idea as a 4th of July Wooden Skewer Sparkler on Sophie's World.  We thought they would look fab as pencil topper's!
