Giant, Snake and Frozen Bubbles

by Emily

It's true you are never too old to blow Bubbles (even in your drinks). That's me when I was 2 years old...

We have tried many different ways to make bubbles in our quest to make them gigantic but we always end up going back to this basic recipe:

 Bubble Solution Recipe
  • 6 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of Dawn dishwashing liquid
  • 2 Tablespoons of glycerin (found in the first aid section of pharmacy or your local health food store).
  • tip: let the solution sit overnight
This morning we made some awesome bubbles:

Even my Dad likes to get in on the action:

This afternoon we plan to make rainbow coloured Bubble Snakes. We are waiting to drink the rest of the pop because we need a plastic bottle and mom said no pop before noon.

To create bubble snakes you will need:
  • plastic water bottle cut off on the bottom
  •  rubber band
  • sock
  • Dawn dish soap
  • water
 Frozen Bubbles

ALL of my attempts to freeze a bubble have failed but I will keep trying.   For instructions see wikiHow.

Feel free to share your projects and photo's on our Facebook Page.  We would sure love to see them!
